Scarabeus Dung ist von Mistkäfern inspiriert. Diese Käfer nähren sich von dem, was andere hinterlassen. Berühmt sind sie für ihr Rollen der Dungkugeln: eine uralte Bewegung, die schon die alten Ägypter in Khepri sahen, jenem heiligen Bild der Sonne, die über den Himmel rollt. Manche dieser kugelrollenden Arten sind nachtaktiv. Für sie zeigte eine Studie aus dem Jahr 2003, dass selbst das Licht des Mondes und das milchige Leuchten der Milchstraße als Wegweiser dienen kann.
